Week #1

Hello Golfers,

                     Well this year started off great. We hav 6 new members to our league this year. We had a great turnout some nice scores and gave away some $$. I wanna explain for the new golfers how handicaps & point system works. Handicaps begin for everyone after 3 completed rounds. For example if you shoot 45 each week for 3 rounds thats a total of 135 divided by 3 = 45 minus the par of 36 = 9 multiply by 90% = 8.1 for your handicap. Hope that helps ! Your points are given according to handicaps in this case this golfer gets 8 points. 8 strokes are taken off his gross score from the #1 handicap to #18 handicap holes. Points are ; Pars =1, Birdies =2, Eagles =3 Double Eagles =4, & Net 1 = 5pts. So if your getting 1 stroke on the #1 handicap hole and you bogey the hole it becomes a net par and worth 1 pt. and so on. Hope that helps !
